SINGAPORE — Members of the public will have just over a month left to see the koalas at the Singapore Zoo.
The four koalas — named Cantik, Sayang, Nila and Manja — have been in Singapore since April this year on a six-month loan from Australia, as part of celebrations for SG50, and the 50th anniversary of Australia-Singapore diplomatic relations.
Visitors to the Singapore Zoo will have until Jan 3 to visit the koalas, after which they will be quarantined for a month prior to their departure.
Today (Nov 27), Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS) announced that they will be holding farewell parties every weekend next month for the public to say their final farewells. There will be koala-themed activities such as mascot appearances, magic shows and an interactive story trail.
The activities will be free but Singapore Zoo admission rates of S$32 for adults and S$21 for children aged three to 12 years apply.
