10-year-old girl dies in fire at River Valley shophouse
A 10-year-old girl has died after a fire at a shophouse on River Valley Road this morning. She was among 20 who were taken to hospital. Among the hurt are 16 children aged between six and 10. Firefighters put out the blaze on the second and third floors within 30 minutes. The cause of the fire at the unit occupied by holiday camp operator Newtonshow — which runs science and cooking camps — is being investigated. Sherlyn Seah reports.
