APEC Secretariat chief calls WTO rules 'dated', urges reform on final day of Jeju talks

Mr Eduardo Pedrosa, executive director of the APEC Secretariat, said rules that govern global trade are "dated" and finding consensus on reform is difficult. He told CNA that subsidies and the dispute settlement mechanism are key areas that need to be addressed by the World Trade Organization. Mr Pedrosa was speaking on the final day of the bloc's trade ministers meeting in Jeju, South Korea, where all 21 economies agreed on a joint statement. Lim Yun Suk reports.
