Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif embarks on 4-day trip to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Türkiye

Islamabad is firming up the diplomatic ground should another round of US-Iran talks take place in the next few days. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is heading for Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Türkiye. The trips to Saudi Arabia and Qatar will be conducted in a "bilateral context". The Pakistani PM will attend the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye, where he will meet President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Mr Sharif will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, who has taken on crucial roles in both formal and backchannel discussions with the US. Hira Mustafa reports from Islamabad.
