Trial of Yoon Suk Yeol - former South Korean president, revives debate on capital punishment

South Korea's controversial capital punishment is in the spotlight as prosecutors seek the death penalty for the country's former president. Yoon Suk Yeol is facing insurrection charges over his declaration of martial law in December 2024. A verdict is expected to be handed down on Thursday. While the country’s courts continue to issue death sentences, South Korea has not actually carried out a single execution since 1997. Lim Yun Suk reports.
