Public anger mounts in Venezuela over government response to earthquakes
Rescuers in Venezuela are making final-ditch efforts to find survivors, after twin earthquakes rocked the country last week. Officials say around 50,000 people remain missing. Locals have accused the government of failing to respond adequately to the disaster — the country's first official rescue team is said to have arrived nearly two days after the quakes struck. Rescuers have yet to reach some parts of La Guaira, one of the hardest-hit areas. More than 1,700 people have been killed and 5,000 injured, while thousands have been left homeless. Andreina Fermin reports from Caracas.
