Australia and Malaysia have agreed to strengthen energy security amid global uncertainties linked to Middle East tensions. Malaysia Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has pledged to remain a reliable partner, while his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese highlighted strong interdependence in fuel, fertiliser and food supply chains. Mr Albanese is on a "food-for-fuel" mission to Brunei and Malaysia this week. Australia is Malaysia's 12th-largest trading partner, supplying 60% of the country's wheat and 75% of its imported beef.
