Beijing to ban all imports of seafood from Japan: Japanese media

The Sino-Japan diplomatic spat deepens, with reports of a fresh ban on Japan's seafood shipments to China. It comes barely months after Beijing partially eased a 2023 restriction on its imports, over Japan's decision to release treated wastewater from the Fukushima power plant. There are also reports that talks between both sides over the resumption of beef shipments have been suspended. The current dispute goes beyond trade, hitting the tourism industry as well. Japan's film industry is also not spared from impact. China has frozen regulatory reviews for new Japanese films.
