China has rejecting as "fabrication" renewed claims by the US president that it meddled in elections in 2020. Donald Trump is reviving a long-running claim ahead of midterm elections in November - questioning the integrity of the elections which he lost to Joe Biden. This is despite a previous US intelligence assessment that uncovered no evidence of Chinese interference in 2020. Mr Trump added declassified intelligence files will show Beijing illicitly acquired more than 200 million US voter files. He presented no new evidence for his claims but directed the Director of National Intelligence, CIA and FBI to investigate his allegations and identify purported vulnerabilities in voting systems.
