It is time for Singaporean youths with mental health issues to stop having to suffer in silence and for society to see their seeking help as something normal. In Parliament on Thursday (Feb 25), Parliamentary Secretary for Culture, Community and Youth, and Social and Family Development Eric Chua said action on this front is even more urgent now, given the stresses of the global pandemic. He also suggested more support for youths with special needs and, when they are older and may have lost their parents, an HDB housing option similar to assisted living flats for seniors.
