Budget 2024 debate: Yeo Wan Ling on balancing caregiving duties and work responsibilities
The time is now to make flexible work arrangements (FWAs) a workplace norm, said MP Yeo Wan Ling. She told Parliament on Tuesday (Feb 27) that for FWAs to be successful, there must be a culture of trust at the workplace. Workers must be responsible and accountable for work outcomes. Employers on their part must redesign jobs, bearing in mind the need for flexibility. Ms Yeo called on the Government to consider FWAs as a critical workplace priority and invest more resources to guide and equip companies.
