Chee Hong Tat on information displayed at bus stops
The bus stop name, alphanumeric code and five-digit code are all displayed at bus stops and the Ministry of Transport will look at ways to improve visibility and how the information is displayed. Senior Minister of State for Transport Chee Hong Tat said this in Parliament on Monday (May 8). He was replying to an MP’s question on whether bus stop codes and names can be featured on the bus shelter address plate, which is currently “the most prominent signage” at the bus stop. In contrast, the fonts on bus stop poles and information boards are relatively small and not easily visible to passengers as they approach the stop.
