China's top political advisory body starts annual session

The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, or CPPC, opened today in Beijing. The advisory body does not have lawmaking power, but provides proposals and feedback to the legislation. CPPCC chairman Wang Huning delivered a report on the work of the standing committee of the CPPCC National Committee.
