Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 2: Hany Soh on boosting the public's legal knowledge and access

Since the circuit breaker period, the Law Society Pro Bono Services has been sharing a series of "Know the Law" webinars on YouTube, said MP Hany Soh in Parliament on Monday (Mar 1). The society's community legal clinics have also been giving legal advice to residents in need via virtual platforms. It would therefore be helpful, she said, if the Ministry of Law could consider working with agencies and stakeholders to build up Singapore's digital infrastructure, with the aim to have more people with basic knowledge of common legal issues and who would seek legal advice via virtual platforms.
