There is still a need to enhance access to justice and to improve the provision of criminal legal aid for individuals who cannot afford their own lawyers, NMP Raj Joshua Thomas said in Parliament on Monday (Mar 1). He asked how the Ministry of Law could provide more support to enhance access to justice for vulnerable groups, especially given the impact of COVID-19. He also asked for an update on the ministry's review of criminal legal aid and when it would be completed.
