Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 2: Tin Pei Ling on Singapore as responsible global citizen in COVID-19 fight

Singapore must do its part as a "global citizen" to be helpful, relevant and responsible, said MP Tin Pei Ling. Speaking in Parliament on Monday (Mar 1), she quoted a Chinese idiom, "delivering charcoal when snowing", to make the point that while it is harder to help during tough times, Singapore must show its mettle and offer genuine friendship. She wanted to know how Singapore is contributing to international efforts in combatting COVID-19 and how its role may evolve.
