Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 5: Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap on national programme for facade repairs of ageing HDB blocks

There should be a national programme for facade repairs for ageing blocks in public housing estates. MP Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap renewed this call in Parliament on Thursday (Mar 4). He urged the Housing and Development Board to conduct a cost-benefit analysis on whether rolling out a national programme for facade improvement and repair works would be a favourable option. He believes such extensive works, if done on a national scale, would enjoy economies of scale.
