As digital technology continues to evolve, the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and Singapore Armed Forces should leverage technology and digitalisation to improve the way national servicemen (NSmen) transact and interact. Speaking in Parliament on Thursday (Mar 3), MP Chong Kee Hiong said digital services can help to streamline administrative processes and reduce waiting time for NSmen and pre-enlistees. He noted that MINDEF had established a national service (NS) digital transformation plan to consolidate digital services into a single platform.
