Committee of Supply 2022 debate, Day 2: Lim Biow Chuan on invasion of Ukraine
The invasion of Ukraine by Russia is "a blatant interference with the sovereignty of another country". MP Lim Biow Chuan said this in Parliament on Thursday (Mar 3), expressing support for the stand taken by the Government on the crisis. He noted that Singapore has imposed sanctions on Russia and asked what else it can do to garner support from other countries, particularly in ASEAN, to "have all our neighbours agree to uphold international law and to respect each country’s sovereignty". He also wanted to know what more Singapore can do to provide support to the people of Ukraine.
