Committee of Supply 2022 debate, Day 3: Hany Soh on digital learning opportunities
Support Institutes of Higher Learning to conduct digital technology training courses for the public, similar to SkillsFuture courses or in collaboration with the People’s Association. MP Hany Soh suggested this in Parliament on Friday (Mar 4) to bridge the digital skills gap among Singaporeans and encourage them to seek out digital opportunities to pursue lifelong learning. She also asked what is being done to increase the availability and variety of books and e-resources in Chinese, Malay and Tamil, to encourage young readers to master their Mother Tongue languages.
