Committee of Supply 2022 debate, Day 4: Gerald Giam on better support for young children with special needs

01:43 Min

The Early Childhood Development Agency can better serve families who have children with special needs, said MP Gerald Giam. This includes providing more one-stop advisory services for parents, and increasing the capacity and range of services offered under the Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Children (EIPIC). EIPIC is for kids who need medium to high levels of early intervention support. Mr Giam said it can be expensive for parents to have to turn to additional avenues of help. He was speaking in Parliament on Monday (Mar 7).
