It is not easy for people to upgrade their skills while holding down a job and the Government has a “duty of care” to ensure that their efforts contribute to their career growth and personal development, said MP Shawn Huang. In Parliament on Monday (Mar 7), he asked how the Ministry of Education ensures that courses are highly relevant to industry needs, how it measures the value of certification post-completion, and how it ensures compatibility or stackability of courses towards academic or professional certification.
