Singapore needs to further tighten curbs on problem gambling and reduce opportunities for gamblers to indulge in their habit, said MP Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap. Speaking in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 9), he suggested adding a requirement for Singapore Pools counter staff. They should scan the identity cards of individuals who place bets above a certain threshold to verify if they are under exclusion orders.
