A good interpersonal relationship between beneficiaries and case workers is key to the success of social assistance programmes such as Community Link (ComLink), said MP Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap. In Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 9), he asked for details about how beneficiaries are engaged and managed. Mr Faisal also noted that the time beneficiaries spend on programmes, interviews and counselling is time not spent working, resulting in lost income. He suggested that they be provided with a “make-up allowance” so as not to deter them from participating.
