Committee of Supply 2022 debate, Day 6: Tin Pei Ling on resuming active ageing efforts

01:20 Min

The COVID-19 pandemic has reset all of Singapore's active ageing efforts, with some seniors raring to resume activities and others retreating and staying home. This has resulted in "significant deterioration" in the emotional and physical well-being of seniors, said MP Tin Pei Ling. Speaking in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 9), she wanted to know how the Government plans to resume senior engagements in the community in a safe manner. She asked if more can be done to compensate for this "vacuum".
