Asatizah or Muslim religious teachers need to be well-equipped to provide sound and relevant religious guidance for the community, especially in times of uncertainty, said MP Mohd Fahmi Aliman. In Parliament on Thursday (Mar 10), he asked for an update on the effectiveness of workforce and leadership development programmes for asatizah, and what is being done to enhance their potential for "pinnacle appointments". He also asked about empowerment programmes to help Malay-Muslim students excel at the Institute of Technical Education.
