Flexible work arrangements, together with job redesign, can unlock employment opportunities for seniors, people with disabilities, part-time workers and caregivers, said MP Sharael Taha in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 1). He asked how structural employment opportunities can be created for seniors and people with disabilities. He also asked if the Ministry of Manpower has any indicators on the percentage of businesses practising remote working, especially SMEs. As flexi-work can lead to friction, Mr Sharael wanted to know if the number of related complaints on perceived unfairness has increased.
