Will the Ministry of Transport consider providing more direct city bus services during morning peak hours? MP Gan Thiam Poh, who raised this question in Parliament on Thursday (Mar 2), also appealed for an additional trip for the SBS Transit City Direct express bus service 671 from Fernvale to the CBD to meet higher demand in the mornings. He asked if the ministry would consider a feasibility study for an extension of the Cross Island Line from Punggol West to support residents at Jalan Kayu, Yio Chu Kang Road and Fernvale. He also wanted to know the average ridership on both the Downtown and Thomson-East Coast Lines so far.
