Singapore’s maritime industry must continue to evolve so that the country can maintain its important role in global trade, said NMP Janet Ang in Parliament on Thursday (Mar 2). With that in mind, she asked for updates in the following areas - the construction of Tuas Port, the development of the Singapore Trade Data Exchange (SGTraDex) which facilitates secure data-sharing between partners in the supply chain ecosystem, and plans to attract talented Singaporeans to the sector and ensure they have the right skills.
