Committee of Supply 2023 debate, Day 6: Pritam Singh on COVID-19 vaccine-related injuries
In Parliament on Friday (Mar 3), Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh raised several questions relating to the Vaccine Injury Financial Assistance Programme for COVID-19. He wanted to know the total number of applications up to Dec 31 last year to give a sense of the number which had been turned down. He also asked for the reasons for turning down these applications. He pointed out that there has only been such a short time to understand the side effects of the vaccines. He asked if the unsuccessful applications can be reconsidered when more information becomes available over the years.
