The vocational training for persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Singapore has focused on the hospitality, manufacturing and assembly service sectors. Depending on their range of disabilities, PWDs have the capacity to be employed across sectors and in different roles, said MP Rachel Ong. Speaking in Parliament on Friday (Mar 3), she said there are still many ways the training pathways for PWDs can be expanded. She asked the Ministry of Social and Family Development if there are alternative training pathways being explored to expand the work options.
