Social service professionals are in greater demand than ever before, yet they remain underrated, under-appreciated and underpaid, said MP Seah Kian Peng in Parliament on Friday (Mar 3). He asked how the Ministry of Social and Family Development will better support social service professionals, as well as the social service sector, to have adequate manpower and good working conditions. Mr Seah also stressed the need to retain the best talents by ensuring that this large group of professionals is paid competitive salaries.
