Singapore has a vibrant and flourishing creative economy, with the Government assuring that it will continue to provide support to help the sector grow by injecting funding, providing skills development opportunities and brokering partnerships with the private sector, said NMP Usha Chandradas. Speaking in Parliament on Friday (Mar 1), she asked the Ministry of Trade and Industry to clarify how much of its development or other expenditure will be allocated to the growth and development of Singapore's creative economy in the coming financial year. She also asked if there are specific plans and areas of focus for the sector.
