MP Xie Yao Quan said that while Singapore can and will import clean energy through, for example, regional grids, energy imports may not be enough or secure enough for the country. In Parliament on Friday (Mar 1), he said Singapore should consider fusion energy in the future. He said fusion technology is still not yet mature but it represents tremendous economic opportunities for Singapore and the world.
