Our homes should be our sanctuaries but for many people, second-hand smoke is a deadly intruder. Beyond issuing advisories, what is the Government doing to protect people from second-hand smoke in their own homes? MP Louis Ng asked this in Parliament on Monday (Mar 4). He also asked the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE) to provide an update on its assessment of the Orchard Road no-smoking zone since its introduction. He also wanted to know if MSE will consider expanding the no-smoking zone to other busy streets and areas such as the Central Business District and the Civic District.
