MP Lim Wee Kiak said the issue of healthcare costs and productivity weighs heavily on the minds of many Singaporeans. In Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 5), he asked what are the key drivers to cost escalation in healthcare delivery. He said cost concerns are also driving some Singaporeans to buy prescription medications from online marketplaces and across the border, without prior medical consultation. He called for a more proactive, data-driven and cost-conscious approach to navigate the crossroads of healthcare costs.
