“If ComCare is assistance to meet today's needs, ComLink+ is empowerment to build tomorrow. If ComCare is a safety net by the state, ComLink+ is a trampoline formed by all of us,” said MP Xie Yao Quan in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 6). He highlighted that ComLink+ is important as it essentially nudges families in rental housing to send their kids to preschool, stay in good jobs and build savings, with coaches and volunteers journeying with these families. He wanted to know how the Ministry of Social and Family Development plans to develop the manpower needed and to galvanise society to come forward and contribute, and how it will measure impact.
