There is a public demand to better understand and unpeg the fair market value determined by the Chief Valuer for land reserved for the HDB, said Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh. He wanted to know what is stopping the government from lifting the veil from this aspect of the Chief Valuer’s work. Speaking in parliament on Friday (Feb 28), he also wanted to know how the government will assure the public and the House that it is not raiding the reserves when it prices land for Build-to-Order flats.
