The government should increase paid childcare leave from six days to eight days to align with the eight days of annual closure allowed by the Early Childhood Development Agency for childcare centre operators. MP Xie Yao Quan, who suggested this in parliament on Friday (Feb 28), said they would be “wonderful opportunities” for young parents to bond with their young children.
