Committee of Supply 2025 debate, Day 2: Denise Phua on recognition for NSmen and support for their families
National Service (NS) is indispensable to Singapore, given its unique challenges as a small nation with no natural resources, said MP Denise Phua. She asked what the Ministry of Defence is doing to continue to inspire NSmen in their mission and what has been done over the past year to recognise their efforts. In parliament on Monday (Mar 3), she also spoke about the importance of family support and asked if NSmen and their families can look forward to further enhancements in SAFRA facilities.
