Scammers are increasingly exploiting messaging apps and social media platforms to target victims - and doing so with apparent ease, said NMP Keith Chua. He asked the Ministry of Home Affairs how cooperative these apps and platforms have been in combating scams, what measures are in place to enhance collaboration with them to swiftly detect and disrupt scam operations, and how they are being held accountable for such activities on their networks. Mr Chua spoke in parliament on Monday (Mar 3).
