Committee of Supply 2025 debate, Day 3: Louis Ng on a clean, green and sustainable Singapore

Singapore has done so well in so many areas, except in the area of second-hand smoke, said MP Louis Ng in parliament on Tuesday (Mar 4). He reiterated his call for the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE) to tackle the issue and expressed hope for a change in policies in legislation this year to protect people from second-hand smoke in their own homes. In his speech, Mr Ng who chairs the Government Parliamentary Committee for Sustainability and the Environment, also lauded the efforts by the dedicated teams at MSE, the National Environment Agency, Singapore Food Agency and national water agency PUB to improve policies and legislation.
