05:47 Min

Singapore has firmly established itself as a leading international dispute resolution hub, but it cannot rest on its laurels. Various other jurisdictions have made significant developments and there is new competition for talent and disputes, said MP Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim, citing the example of Abu Dhabi. In parliament on Tuesday (Mar 4), he asked what more the Ministry of Law is doing to maintain Singapore’s competitive edge and support the legal profession to better meet demands. Mr Zhulkarnain also asked about the status of changes to be implemented through the Family Justice Reform Act, as well as what measures are planned for addressing online harms.
