Libraries have long been a cornerstone of community enrichment, but the digital age calls for more innovative approaches to learning, said MP Alex Yam. He asked what new initiatives will be implemented in public libraries to encourage greater tech adoption and skills acquisition for all Singaporeans. He added that everyone, regardless of digital fluency, must be able to benefit. Mr Yam said technology can be intimidating and even exclusionary.
