Stewardship of Singapore’s fiscal resources is ever more important in a world that is becoming more uncertain and more contested, said MP Saktiandi Supaat. He said it requires three things - discipline in spending, rigour in evaluation and adaptability in system design. In parliament on Thursday (Feb 26), he asked several questions, including how the Ministry of Finance is strengthening scrutiny over high-value projects and ensuring that major initiatives deliver measurable outcomes, and whether there are structured review mechanisms to allow resources to be allocated dynamically.
