The Attorney-General occupies a uniquely sensitive position under Singapore’s Constitution and the selection process is critical, said MP Sylvia Lim. However, the appointment process required by the Constitution is currently thin, she said in parliament on Friday (Feb 27). She called for more clarity on the selection process, both now and for the future to promote greater trust in Singapore’s legal system.
