Committee of Supply 2026 debate, Day 3: Hany Soh on broadening of education paths
As Singapore intensifies efforts in AI education and promotes lifelong learning, it must ensure that it supports every keen learner regardless of their starting point, said MP Hany Soh. She asked about utilisation rates of ITEs, polytechnics and part-time courses, and plans to increase openings for working adults. She also repeated a proposal for a new ITE in the north of Singapore, which could collaborate with corporates in nearby JTC industrial areas. Ms Soh added that education financing must be expanded to make pathways truly inclusive. She spoke in parliament on Monday (Mar 2).
