Committee of Supply 2026 debate, Day 3: Terence Ho on recognition of adult educators
As Singapore rebalances its focus between pre-employment training and Continuing Education and Training, it is timely to strengthen the recognition of adult educators, said NMP Terence Ho in parliament on Monday (Mar 2). He noted that even as minimum standards are being set for the profession, it is important to encourage and acknowledge excellence. He proposed a President’s Award for Adult Educators, just as there is a President’s Award for Teachers who inspire their students and peers through innovative teaching methods and a commitment to lifelong learning.
