Committee of Supply 2026 debate, Day 5: Ang Wei Neng on preparing for more EVs rollout
With more new electric vehicle (EV) car registrations in Singapore, it is timely to strengthen the country’s charging infrastructure. MP Ang Wei Neng, who made this call in parliament on Wednesday (Mar 4), urged the Land Transport Authority to spearhead the deployment of more fast chargers in HDB estates. Mr Ang also urged the government to work closely with industry partners and training institutions to ensure that the automotive workforce remains skilled, relevant and prepared for Singapore's EV future.
