The Singapore College of Islamic Studies is an investment in the next generation of religious leadership and scholarship for the local Muslim community, said Senior Parliamentary Secretary Syed Harun Alhabsyi. Speaking in parliament on Thursday (Mar 5), he wanted to know how the government would ensure that its programmes can maintain high standards of Islamic scholarship and produce graduates who not only contribute to the needs of the local Muslim community, but also the wider Singapore society and the world.
